The Suzuki SX4 started off as a mini SUV developed by Japanese and Italian automakers Suzuki and Fiat. It has been in production since 2006.
Suzuki has been selling a hatchback model of the car in the European market. A sedan model is sold in the Chinese market.
Maruti is now bringing this car into the Indian market and they would be launching the sedan version. The car is expected to cost around Rs. 6-7 Lakhs and would take on the segment leader Honda City.
Suzuki has incidentally already announced that they would be entering this model into the FIA World Rally Championship in the World Rally Car category in 2008.
